Peru's Rain Forest contains almost 10% of the world’s plant species. Some of It's trees can host over 40 species of ants. 1800 bird species have been confirmed in Peru, however, 73 have been placed on the endangered species list.
Reservation Santiago - Comainas
The reservation Santiago-Comainas is the only protected natural area in the Amazonas Department. The reservation covers an area greater than 2,133,204 square acres. It is considered one of the largest conservation areas in the country.
The Rain Forest is also a great place to admire orchids and many other varieties of plants.
